Initiative Media scoops Johnson & Johnson business

Initiative Media scoops Johnson & Johnson business

MSD Consumer Pharmaceuticals, a Johnson & Johnson company, has moved its £7m media business from Manning Gottlieb OMD to Initiative Media.

The UK account win will see Initiative adding a dozen new products, including dandruff remedy Nizoral, acid stomach product Pepcid Two, Imodium and Arret, to the growing collection of Johnson & Johnson brands it now looks after.

Manning Gottlieb OMD had held the account for seven years, but Johnson & Johnson has been a key global client for Initiative for some time and wanted to consolidate its media activities further.

Initiative has begun working on projects, but does not officially take over the account until late in the first quarter of 2003.

This week has also seen Initiative win the media account of the Zoological Society, which includes London Zoo and Whipsnade Wild Animal Park.

The £1m account will focus on educational and environmental aspects of the properties, which have suffered in recent years.
