Tartan spreads the word in N America

Tartan TV, the weekly magazine programme aimed at expats interested in Scotland, is broadening its distribution into Canada and the US.

The programme debuts on Canadian Learning Television in Toronto and KSBN in Arkansas this week. Seaside Cable in Nova Scotia and Familyland in Ohio will also carry the show.

The new carriage agreements for Aberdeen-based media company Tartan TV will put the 30-minute programme in front of a target audience of an estimated 9.6 million viewers.

The first programme was shot last week in New York and features an interview with Sean Connery.
