Computing: available in the network

Business publisher VNU has launched a recruitment network, combining its online and print brands to offer advertisers targeted cross-media solutions.

Several of the group's major IT and business titles are offering channelled, targeted recruitment ad packages via both print and online, through the company's internet recruitment site newmonday.co.uk.

Eight titles are available in the network, including Computing, Accountancy Age and Computeractive.

Brin Bucknor, managing director of VNU Business Publications, said: "Our innovative Recruitment Network will enable recruiters to put together an integrated print and online recruitment strategy quickly and easily.

"We are offering recruitment advertisers access to hundreds of thousands of high quality candidates through the trusted brands of our market leading titles."

A shaky online recruitment market forced the closure of Newmonday.com, a pan-European joint venture between VNU and Ransted Holdings, in October.

VNU absorbed the brand back into its UK business and is now using the technology to power the career site for its UK titles.

The portals can be found at the individual websites, for example www.computing.co.uk/careers and www.accountancyage.com/careers.

VNU launched a cross-media package across the whole of its UK and European properties last week.
