Publishing duo launch bEurope

Justin Walters, who resigned as head of new media at Guardian Newspapers in October, is to set up his own business to business internet venture.

Walters is launching bEurope in conjunction with Emma Lewis, former strategic development director at business to business publisher Miller Freeman. The two have raised £3 million in private capital to fund the creation of two e-businesses by next February. Walters and Lewis are hoping to raise sufficient capital to set up another 10 companies by 2001.

bEurope is aiming to exploit what it sees as a gap in online services servicing business to business companies.
