NatMags seeks single media shop

The National Magazine Company is understood to be preparing to centralise its media planning and buying accounts, suggesting the publisher is about to boost its investment in marketing.

NatMag’s media activity has been conducted on a title by title basis. The publisher has recently used Manning Gottlieb Media and New PHD for work on its Zest and Company titles, but has not traditionally invested significantly in advertising activity.

NatMags is now understood to be talking to a number of agencies about its business and a decision is expected before the end of the year.

The move follows the January to June Audit Bureau of Circulations figures which saw a number of NatMags titles lose sales.
