David McMurtrie, director of MediaCom Europe, is leaving the agency to become marketing operations director of Real Media.
McMurtrie will join the online sales house in December with a brief to build new business across all sectors and increase the operation’s profile with agencies. Real Media competes against other online houses such as 24/7 and Double Click.
McMurtrie has been with the Grey owned shop since it became a standalone operation in 1994, working on accounts such as Nokia and Emirates Airlines. MediaCom has yet to name a replacement although Adrian Smith, a colleague of McMurtrie, is seen as a likely candidate.
