The partnership deal gives News UK a permanent ad slot on Saturday at 5.20pm throughout the course of the deal, and follows Sky Sports extending its sponsorship of Absolute Radio's commentary for another year.
News UK will use the partnership to promote its new video clips of the Premier League, including 30-second video clips from most games as they happen, videos from the 3pm games – after 5.15pm –and 60-second highlights clips for up to a week after the action.
As part of the deal, brokered by m/SIX, News UK's digital football highlights will receive on-air exposure via spot ads before and at the end of matches on Absolute Radio from 3.45pm to 5.45pm every Saturday.
Goal flashes with the News UK branding will be broadcast on Sundays and Mondays, and pre-recorded trails will be aired every Monday between 10am and 4pm.
Spotlights voiced by the 'Rock'N'Roll Football' programme's Ian Wright, Russ Williams and lead commentator Jim Proudfoot, promoting the News UK's digital coverage, will also air on Fridays in the build-up to the weekend's match.
A 60-second ad showcasing News UK's digital highlights will appear for a targeted audience for those listening online or via a mobile device through Absolute Radio's Instream.
Kevin Webb, the sponsorship account manager at Absolute Radio, Frankie Rogers, the agency account manager at Absolute Radio, and m/Six's director of investment, Dan Keat, brokered the deal. It will run from Wednesday 14 August until Sunday 18 May 2014.
News UK will also be given a clickable banner within the 'Rock'N'Roll Football' Live Scores app.
Emma Smyth, the head of sponsorship at Absolute Radio, said: "This commercial partnership with News UK is a fantastic compliment to our fourth Premier League season.
"With lead sponsor Sky Sports also secured for another year we're in great shape and are currently in discussion to fulfil more promotional properties for brand partners within our football offering."
