Millar, the former managing director at Aegis Media’s Vizeum UK, was promoted to his newly created global position at sister agency Carat last September.
He joins a panel looking at the UK media scene from an international perspective, featuring Manning Gottlieb’s chief executive of EMEA, Colin Gottlieb, and Mediabrands’ G14 president of global clients, Jim Hytner.

The panel will discuss a wide range of perceptions and misconceptions about the UK’s place in the media world, and provide a unique forum for open debate with more than 300 delegates attending this year’s event.
Also at this year's Media360: News International will reveal plans for The Sun's paywall, Virgin Media will discuss activity beyond traditional advertising, Andrew Mullins will reveal plans for London Live TV next year, JCDecaux will report initial findings of Route, Bauer will explore the radio market, and BlackBerry will reveal plans for its smartphone future.
Opportunities presented by new data will be explored by Will Orr, commercial director of British Gas, Peter Duffy, European marketing director of easyJet, Kristof Fahy, chief marketing officer of William Hill, and Keith Moor, director of brand and communications at Santander.
James Tye, the chief executive of Dennis Publishing, will offer lessons on how the company has transformed itself from being predominantly a magazine publisher to being a digital publishing pioneer.
Media360 will be chaired by Carat's chief executive, Tracy de Groose, and will open with a keynote address from Boots' marketing director, Elizabeth Fagan.
