Sainsbury's magazine celebrates biggest-ever edition

Sainsbury's magazine's December issue will be the biggest in its 18-year history, thanks to a 70% boost in advertising.

Customer publisher Seven said the 276-page bumper Christmas issue, out tomorrow (2 November), has 119 ad pages, and has 88 more editorial pages than compared with average issues.

The £1.60 title includes a 12-page advertorial booklet on Christmas drinks and several features on festive foods.

Brands featured in the issue include Paxo, Remy Martin and Russian Standard.

Helena Lang, editor of Sainsbury’s magazine, said: "Our editorial team have worked their socks off producing this bumper Christmas issue.

"Our great-looking editorial means that advertisers can feel 100% confident that their copy will be seen in the company of the absolute best in the business."

The December issue also features recipes and tips from TV chefs Jamie Oliver, Nigella Lawson, Raymond Blanc and Nigel Slater.

The monthly magazine had an average audited circulation of 255,072 copies for the period January to June this year, making it the 50th most-circulated magazine in the UK.
