Sainsbury’s advertises "better than half price" champagne in the Daily Mirror and the Daily Mail, while in The Sun the supermarket recommends books and DVD’s for Mother’s Day.

Morrisons offers two crates of beer or cider for £14 in the Daily Mirror, The Sun and the Daily Mail.

Asda promises "low prices" for Mother’s Day, highlighting gift ideas from chocolates to wine, with half a page in the Daily Mirror, The Sun and the Daily Mail.

Rival Tesco advertises bogof offers including Cathedral City cheddar and Sugar Puffs in The Daily Mirror, The Sun, The Times, The Independent and the Daily Mail.

A full page ad promoting tickets for the Olympic football tournament appears in The Daily Mirror, with Lloyds TSB appearing as the sponsor.

Domino’s advertises its new Spanish Sizzler pizza with an ad in the Daily Mirror, breaking from its current campaign promoting discounts on Tuesdays.

Estée Lauder takes out a full page in The Times advertising its skin serum and highlighting awards the product has won.

The government takes out a full page in The Times to remind readers they can fill out their Census online. The ad also appears in The Daily Telegraph, The Independent, the Daily Mail and The Guardian.

While John Lewis advertises vacuum cleaners "to kick-start your spring clean" in The Daily Telegraph and The Independent.
