Charities including The Salvation Army and Save the Children continue their urgent calls for donations to help the people of Japan, in today's papers.

The Salvation Army has issued an emergency appeal with an ad in the Daily Express appealing for donations to its disaster fund.

Save the Children and World Vision repeat their ads, which first appeared yesterday.

Tesco advertises discounts on beer ahead of St Patrick's Day tomorrow and takes out a full page to promote Easter Egg offers in The Sun and the Daily Mirror.

Sainsbury’s advertises deals on vegetables and family meals, while Asda drops prices on meat, across the tabloids.

Birds Eye promises its frozen vegetables have "30% more vitamins than fresh vegetables" in the Daily Express.

The Harvester restaurant chain takes out an ad in the Daily Express for its grill and salad menu.

Watch brand Omega gets some unwelcome exposure after technical issues stopped its Olympic countdown clock, newly installed in Trafalgar Square. The Sun goes with the headline "What a clock-up".

Selfridges advertises a Hugo Boss men's fragrance with a full page in The Guardian.

TK Maxx continues its press campaign for Comic Relief and promotes charity t-shirts designed by Vivienne Westwood.

Hilton Hotels advertises its HHonors membership scheme in The Daily Telegraph, with the strapline "put nothing on your to-do list".

Lastly Skoda takes out a full page in The Times to advertise 25% off the price of its Octavia car.
