The first full-month audited circulation figure for The Independent spin-off title will be for December and not November, as media buyers previously anticipated.
The figure will be published on 14 January by the Audit Bureau of Circulations.
The new national newspaper, aimed at "lapsed readers of quality newspapers", launched on 26 October, but parent company Independent Print Limited has as yet refused to issue copy sales figures.
Reports have suggested the paper's circulation was sitting at about 125,000 copies a day in its first few weeks.
It is thought that i will delay publication of its first ABC figures while executives iron out early volatility in buying patterns. Executives also want a settled audited circulation number that the sales team can use to trade with media agencies and advertisers.
The i declined to comment.
