The Guardian includes an 84-page football pullout, while The Sun offers its readers football tickets for £9.50.

As the crisis in Pakistan worsens, the national press devotes editorial space to increasing awareness and support, alongside ongoing calls for donations from member charities of the Disasters Emergency Committee.

Specsavers pushes its hearing centres, claiming it could save customers up to £168 on battery costs for hearing aids, running ads in papers including The Daily Telegraph and The Times. Meanwhile, rival Vision Express advertises "2 for 1" on designer glasses in The Times.

Supermarket deals include money off Persil at Sainsbury’s, Tesco has an offer on bread and Lidl advertises a deal on ale. Morrisons takes several full-page ads across the press to highlight school uniform deals.

Holidays are still being booked up this summer, with The Daily Mail including a promo panel on its cover advertising a holiday deal from £15.

Inside the paper, P&O offers a free ticket to Disneyland Paris with ferry bookings, while Travelodge offers £15 off rooms with a discount code included on ads.

Last but not least, Cheryl Cole is proving a strong force for brands despite her battle with malaria, which took her out of the public eye for several weeks.

The Daily Express reports L’Oreal’s Elnett hairspray has enjoyed an uplift in sales since the singer became the face of the brand.
