Shortlist for Media Week Awards 2010 announced

Carat, MEC, PHD and ZenithOptimedia are vying for the title of Agency of the Year in this year's Media Week Awards.

The four agencies are among the names unveiled on the industry awards shortlist today (20 July). 

The award for Media Brand of Year 2010 will be contested by Bauer’s Grazia magazine, Pearson’s Financial Times, the London Evening Standard, Spotify, UTV’s TalkSport, News International’s The Sun and Google’s YouTube.

Meanwhile, sales operations at Global Radio, TalkSport and the Telegraph Media Group are all in the running for Sales Team of the Year.

Caroline Marshall, executive editor at, said: "There’s nothing quite like the atmosphere at the Grosvenor House Hotel in Mayfair, on Media Week Awards night in October.

"Through thick times and thin, the great and the good of the media world turn out to celebrate excellence in our wonderful industry, network with their peers and aspire to one day join the winners on stage."

She added: "It's the big night of the media year and the awards stand head and shoulders above all others in their significance and importance."

This year’s Media Week Awards ceremony will be held on 28 October at the Grosvenor House.
