Luxury Publishing in administration

LONDON - Luxury Publishing, customer publisher for upmarket clients such as personal concierge outfit Quintessentially, has gone into administration, potentially placing about 13 jobs at risk.

The publisher of magazine titles such as Quintessentially and Private Sea, for the yachting company of the same name, was set up in 2004.

David Rubin & Partners confirmed it had been appointed administrator, but declined to comment further.

Luxury Publishing's current financial position is not known.

Lucia van der Post, daughter of Sir Laurens van der Post, a mentor of Prince Charles, was editorial director at the company.

It is thought the firm's headcount was about 13 when it fell into administration.

In recent months it had lost clients such as Harrods and business aviation firm Private Air, which was picked up by Ink Publishing.

Rival luxury publisher FMS has taken on some of Luxury Publishing's staff, including van der Post and creative director Stefano Arata, after picking up the Quintessentially magazine brief. Van der Post has taken up a senior role at the title.

Luxury Publishing was unavailable for comment.
