Zoopla.co.uk, which last month acquired the Guardian Media Group-owned Thinkproperty.com, has acquired PropertyFinder from News International and Australia-based property website publisher REA Group for an undisclosed sum.
Zoopla.co.uk is led by founder and chief executive Alex Chesterman, who also founded online DVD rental business ScreenSelect.co.uk, a company now known as LoveFilm.com.
Its backers include venture capitalists Atlas Venture and Octopus Ventures.
The PropertyFinder Group claims to have more than two million unique visitors each month.
Zoopla.co.uk will take over and integrate Propertyfinder.com and its other websites, benefiting from what it claims will be additional revenue of almost £7m a year.
