The John Letters app has been created in partnership between Orion Publishing and Haymarket Network, the customer publishing arm of Haymarket Publishing, the publisher of Media Week.

It costs £5.99 to download from the Apple Store and is the first app by Haymarket Network to be sold via the Apple Store, rather than being available free of charge. It includes a recorded forward by Yoko Ono and content that can be searched chronology, by recipients, themes and exclusives.

The content has been taken from the recent hardback volume of 'The John Lennon Letters', published by Orion Publishing. Haymarket Publishing has selected 78 letters from the book to be included in the app, plus an additional 10 that are exclusive to the app itself.

Simon Kanter, Haymarket’s Network editorial director, said: "John Lennon's letters give a unique insight into the mind of one of the greatest musicians of our time. The app provides the perfect platform to share his story in the most compelling and engaging way possible."
