A Generation of school leavers are to be ‘abandoned' because of a lack of university places reports The Daily Telegraph, following on from stories about higher education cuts yesterday.

The Daily Express has decided to fill the gap left by The Sun, launching a ‘£9 holidays' offer. Guardian readers can learn the Hindi language today and Concept2 is back on the cover of The Daily Telegraph pushing its fitness equipment.

A promo panel running across the top of The Times looks like an ad for McDonalds but turns out to be a push to a feature about the fast food industry. While tickets to an ‘exclusive' JLS gig are on offer in sister title The Sun.

Investment bank Fidelity promotes its ISA accounts in a well-targeted ad on the cover of the Financial Times.
