In his new position Knott will oversee the marketing functions at Primesight, including audience measurement system Postar, and working with the Outdoor Advertising Association and the out-of-home mapping tool OMM (Out of Home Media Manager).
Knott has worked at Primesight on a consultancy basis since Primesight began to bid for the roadside billboard estate of fellow outdoor media owner Titan in August.
Prior to StreetBroadcast, Knott spent 10 years as a buying director at Aegis' out-of-home specialist Posterscope and also worked at Saatchi & Saatchi and Portland Outdoor.
Nigel Clarkson, sales and marketing director at Primesight, said Primesight was "delighted to have secured someone of Mungo's stature for this new role".
Clarkson said he believed 2010 would be a "big year" for Primesight because of the new Postar, the move to sell audience-based campaigns and the continued need for accountability".
In September it was announced that Knott was to head ad sales and marketing for start-up outdoor outfit Nettoyer Media. Knott starts at Primesight fulltime on 22 March and is yet to finalise when he will finish at Nettoyer.
