MEDIA MOVES: Latest people in media moves

 

Suzanne Miron, director of women's media at Bauer Media, is leaving the company to set up her own media consultancy in February. She has held various ad roles in women's magazines at Bauer Media, formerly Emap, in the past 13 years. She took the role of director of women's media, responsible for magazines such as Grazia, Heat, More and Closer, in April 2008.

MEDIA MOVES: Latest people in media moves

Telegraph Media Group has appointed former MediaCom executive director James Lancaster as its new classified sales director. He will report to TMG executive director Dave King and replaces Alex Foster, who left in July.

Associated Northcliffe Digital has hired Garry Hobson as chief executive of motors.co.uk, its automotive unit. He will replace Andrew Dyson, who is leaving after three years to take a new role within AND, which will be announced in January. Hobson joins from used-car website Autoquake.com, where he was chief executive.

Channel 4 has named Discovery Networks International's vice-president of strategy and digital media, Keith Underwood, as head of commercial strategy. He will report to Gill Pritchard, director of strategy at Channel 4.

Independent News & Media has appointed Lothar Lanz, chief financial officer of Axel Springer, the German publisher, as a non-executive director. He replaces Kenneth Clarke as a non-executive director of the group.

Northern media body, the Yorkshire Publicity Association, has appointed John Ainley, north east business director for CBS Outdoor, as its chairman for the next two years. He replaces Leigh Bulmer, associate director and provincial sales manager at Trinity Mirror's regional sales house Amra.
