Miles, who was at first thought to be retaining his post under the new structure, is leaving without another job to go to, and headhunters have been briefed to find a replacement.
Titan's UK chief executive David Pugh said: "Philip has done a great job and helped us to box above our weight, and this has been a pretty exhausting period. He feels he deserves a bit of a break before he goes on to something new."
Following its acquisition last month by the privately owned US group Titan Worldwide, Maiden is rebranding as Titan Outdoor in the UK.
Over the next four months, the company's distinctive green hoardings will disappear after 81 years on British high streets. The panels will be painted black, and the blue on white Titan logo added.
Mounting losses forced the sale of Maiden earlier this year, when David Pugh replaced Ron Zeghibe as chief executive.
